A short directed by Ibizan filmmaker Francesc Juan just after shooting in Mallorca the film ‘Amen Romanie’ (1970).
Filmed entirely in Ibiza during the month of August in 1971. ‘Luna’ has footage of the interior of a farm house called Can Savio, belonging to the directors’ grandfather located between Santa Eulària and Sant Joan. Several shots include locations such as Cala Salada, Ses Salines and the neighborhood of la Marina and Dalt Vila.
Most of the songs are composed by renowned Ibizan musician and linguist Isidor Marí. During filming he also worked as production assistant with Pere Matutes Guasch, who later would be in charge of music and photography in ‘Agost’ (1975), a documentary about the “farmers dance” directed by Francesc Juan in Ibiza.
