Ibiza reinforces its audiovisual positioning at MAFIZ Malaga

The Ibiza Film Commission has participated one more year in MAFIZ, the industry area of the Malaga Film Festivalconsolidating its presence in one of the main meeting points of the national and international audiovisual sector.

During the conference held on March 10th and 11th in Malagathe work agenda was marked by institutional collaboration, the exchange of knowledge and the exploration of new opportunities for the positioning of Ibiza as a filming destination.

On Tuesday, March 10, the day began with a presentation by AENA as a new member of the Board of Trustees of the Spain Film CommissionThe meeting highlighted the importance of airport infrastructures in the development of the audiovisual industry. The session, held at the NH Malaga Hotel, concluded with a cocktail party that facilitated networking among industry professionals.

Wednesday, March 11, focused on the internal and professional activities of the network. The General Assembly of members of the Spain Film Commission brought together representatives from different film commissions in the country to address strategic lines and common challenges. Subsequently, the Malaga Film Office offered a meeting at Villa del Marstrengthening ties between territories and fostering new synergies.

The day concluded with the participation in the professional meeting organized by the Andalucía Film Commission. Andalusia Film Commission at the Thyssen Museum Málagaas part of the Heritage Session program. Under the title “Hybrid territories: new ways to locate”, the conference addressed the impact of technologies such as LiDAR scanning, aerial capture and photogrammetry in the digitization of locations. These tools are transforming the processes of scouting and filming preparation, opening up new possibilities for film, television, advertising and video games.

The presence of the Ibiza Film Commission at MAFIZ reinforces its commitment to innovation, cooperation between territories and the promotion of Ibiza as a competitive enclave adapted to the new demands of the audiovisual industry.
