The Ibiza Film Commission continues to strengthen its commitment to the development of local talent and the professionalization of the audiovisual sector on the island. This week a new training session entitled “Distribution strategies for audiovisual projects” was held at the Royal Plaza Hotel, a meeting designed to provide practical tools and updated knowledge to creators, producers and professionals of the territory.
The session was given by Rodolfo Sánchez (@rodolfos_san), a distribution expert and audiovisual consultant with extensive experience in the design of launch strategies for films, series and documentaries. His intervention offered a complete vision of the current mechanisms to take an audiovisual project to new audiences and markets, from independent circuits to global platforms.
A key day to improve the competitiveness of local talent
During the training, attendees were able to delve into essential issues such as the identification of distribution windows, the importance of festivals as an international springboard, the new metrics of the digital market and emerging trends in content marketing. Real cases were also analyzed and planning models were presented so that creators can anticipate the best route for their works from the development phase.
The meeting stood out for its participatory nature: professionals exchanged concerns, experiences and specific doubts about their own projects. This dynamic made it possible to adapt the session to the real needs of the Ibizan audiovisual ecosystem, a central objective in the training strategy of the Ibiza Film Commission.
Fostering collaboration and outreach
One of the key points addressed during the conference was the challenge of increasing the international visibility of projects created in Ibiza. In this sense, opportunities in European and Latin American markets were explored, as well as tools to present projects to distributors, sales agents and platforms. The practical approach of the session helped participants understand how to better position their works in an increasingly competitive environment.
The Ibiza Film Commission stresses that this type of action is essential to boost the growth of the audiovisual sector on the island: not only do they offer specialized training, but they also create meeting spaces that strengthen the local professional community and foster collaboration between creators, producers, technicians and cultural agents.
A continued commitment to training and the future of the industry
With this new initiative, the Ibiza Film Commission reaffirms its commitment to a development model based on excellence, technical training and the international projection of Ibizan talent. The training program, which throughout the year includes workshops, consulting and participation in professional markets, is part of a broader strategy aimed at consolidating Ibiza as an attractive, competitive and sustainable audiovisual destination.
The institution will continue working to offer new learning opportunities that respond to the demands of a constantly evolving industry. The objective is clear: to support local professionals, accompany the growth of the sector and place Ibiza on the international audiovisual map.
