Ayuntamiento de Sant Antoni de Portmany and Producciones Audiovisuales Incortum have just presented the second edition from the biennial season “Projecte Documentum”in the auditorium of the Centre Cultural Cervantes.
Organizers opt for this season to emphasize that the local creators are increasingly producing documentary genre works, in turn, they have a biggest public reception. This wants to be a “meeting point between the documentary makers and the public, so that the documental local production can be seen in a single event.
The documentary genre is trending
In this second edition, it has been possible to see works like Ibiza vuelo 602 by J.Luis Mir. The story is about a plane crash with no survivors the 7th of January, 1972 in Ses Roques Altes (located between Es Cubells and Sant Josep de sa Talaia).
Entre illes, directed by Ramon Mayol, a production that recovers some of the unspoiled landscapes of Ibiza.
“Aiguallums 01, 02 y 03” from the director Enrique Villangosa, correspond to the first three chapters of a series in which is told the creative process from the artists Josep Rosales, Romanie Sánchez and Diego Picabea.
La revolución turística (photo), by Rafael and Pablo Alcántara, that narrates the tourism evolution in the Balearic Islands.
In the first edition, held two years earlier, there were titles as “Erwin Bechtold, retrat d’un artista” by Enrique Villallonga and Laura Ferrer Arambarri, “Formentera: base d’hidroavions (1936-1953)” by J. Luis Mir, “Aigua clara” by Carmelo Convalia and “Eivissa terra endins” by Justine Pellerin.
